How to use LDAP Error Code Checker
Start with the raw error, extract the result code and AD data subcode, then check the smallest likely cause first.
- Paste the full bind error, not just the final exception message.
- Confirm whether the LDAP result code is 49, invalid credentials.
- If an AD data code appears, use it to narrow the cause.
- Check bind DN or UPN, password, account state, lockout, expiration, and reset flags.
- Record the failing application, domain controller, timestamp, and owner before retrying.

Use the home page checker, then convert the result into a team runbook if the same error repeats.
